August 29,1998
This event was made possible by Mike Drew, a Shelby club member. The Shelby and Pantera clubs
were getting together for Craig Breedlove's "Spirit Of America" land speed record tour and we were
invited to attend! Nine NSXs made their presence in the midst of all the Shelbys and Panteras
that dominated the entire neighborhood street.

We arrived at Mike Drew's and found the amount of cars filling the street overwhelming!
We parked our NSXs at the end of the street and spend a while checking out all these beautiful cars.
Just as much as we were interested to see the others cars, many Shelby and Pantera owners
were checking out our NSXs.

We got underway to make the drive to Breedlove's tour.
On the drive we encountered traffic which didn't seem to bother many since many drivers
were checking out the NSX parade! We drove past Travis Air Force Base and just as we got close enough
to the end of the runway, a C-5A Galaxy took off right over us! The sound of the engines was phenomenal!

After the tour, our club got together for a nice lunch at a nearby restaurant.
We had a long drive and a nice tour and not it was chow time. Afterwards, we had a nice drive back.
Many thanks to Mike Drew for putting this event together and for Gary Berger arranging the invitation.
