Once in the Comptech facility, everyone introduced each other and the tour of Comptech began. We walked through the machine shop and were showed many NSX engine parts and accessories. The main object of interest was the prototype supercharger that Comptech was working on. There was one on display for everyone to drool over.
Next, we were let to an area of the shop where an NSX engine was placed on a roller stand with all sort of sensors and controllers attached to the motor. There was a large air induction tube for the motor as well as an exhaust stack.
Now came the fun part! The engine was started and running at low RPM so that it may warm up a bit before going through the test run. At 3060RPM, the NSX engine was producing 74 horsepower. Once warmed up, the computer ran the engine through various RPM cycles. The engine was screaming just shy of 8000RPM indicating 268 horsepower. Wow! It's the best music Honda has ever produced.

After all this, we were let to the back of the facility. There was the Comptech mule car for everyone to check out. At the time, owners and enthusiast were able to see many Comptech accessories already installed on the NSX. There was also the Motorola IndyCar Transporter that housed Parker Johnstone's IndyCar. In another garage, Comptech was building two Honda IndyCars for upcoming races. Unfortunately, Parker destroyed one of them at the Michigan 500 race that followed.
The Comptech mule car was taken out in front of the facility where several owners and enthusiasts were given rides demonstrating the advantages of the car with the Comptech performance parts. As the event was winding down, we gathered for lunch/dinner at a pizza parlour. What a way to wind down the event!
