September 6-7, 1997
This was the one of many organized NSX events put together by Acura.
Many thanks to Acura for putting together this amazing event.
Acura set up a nice hospitality tent with lots of food, television coverage,
and provided everyone with hats, shirts, and other goodies.
Acura had on display a 1997 Spa Yellow Pearl NSX-T.
On the other end, Comptech had their completey tricked out NSX
complete with supercharger and a new body kit.

Beside the hospitality tent, there was reserved parking for all our NSXs.
As you can see, there were many in attendance.
On Saturday, there were around 40 cars present and about 50 or so on Sunday.
Pictured below are the other two of Acura's newest colors for the NSX,
Monte Carlo Blue Pearl and Kaiser Silver Metallic.
On Sunday, Gil De Ferran showed was present and informed us
about how he muscles his IndyCar around Laguna Seca.
He was nice enough to answer many of our questions and he took the time
to autograph many posters and programs.
Later, there was a drawing for a complete set of NSX luggage and a black Comptech jacket.
After the race, four time winner SCCA racing champion, Peter Cunningham,
stopped by and also autoghraphed posters.
This was indeed a big treat to meet the Realtime Comptech NSX driver.
As the race progressed, many were enjoying watching the race from the hospitality tent.
Parker Johnstone in the green and white KOOL car spun out at turn five right in front of everyone.
Below are shots of Gil De Ferran approaching turn five
and Andre Ribiero in the Tasman LCI car.
Gil was second in points and had a chance to beat Zanardi.
Zanardi had a good day and wound up wrapping the PPG CART championship at this race.
