March 7, 1998

This was an exciting drive through the hills and mountains of San Mateo.
Ross Daniels' father had passed away just days before the drive, so this event was dedicated to his father.

"The Genodan Memorial Drive".

Everyone met on Page Mill Rd right off the 280 at a park leading into Los Altos Hills.
We had 15 NSXs show for this drive including one equipped with a Comptech supercharger
as well one with the Japanese "short" gears.

The drive started from Page Mill Rd with a target of Skyline Blvd.
We were very fortunate to have an awesome caravan with no traffic in between. What a great drive!

We arrived at a very nice turnout for a rest stop and photo-ops.
The photos below tell the story.

Gary Berger sported his NSX sans wiper blades.

After this great stop, our compass was directing us to the town of Woodside.
We drove on LaHonda with some real nice scenery. The rains produced so much green it was just captivating!

We all cruised over to a "safe" parking lot and took a nice stroll to Buck's Restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, our next target was Skagg's Point. The dash up there was all uphill with a lot of twisties.
The clouds were getting much darker and some NSXers were departing in anticipation of rain.
Many brave souls continued until the end despite the ever increasing chance of rain.

Unfortunately, it started to come down pretty hard on the last leg of the return trip.
For some, it was the first experience with their NSX in the rain!
One emailed to the list with a story about the incredible handling of the NSX in the rain.

For those of you who have never seen an NSX in the rain...

Special thanks to Ross Daniels for organizing this event.
